Rev. Pat Abrams
The Rev. Pat Abrams, Teaching Elder, has served as a Pastor, Interim Pastor, and Hospice Chaplain in New Covenant Presbytery.  He graduated from Austin Presbyterian Seminary and was honorably retired in 1999. Prior to ordination he served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.  He and his wife, Emma, have been married for 64 years.  They have three children, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Pat teaches the Stepping Out in Faith class on Sunday. His teaching combines three perspectives in interpreting Biblical text:  the place of text in the literary narrative, its social-historical context, and its theological meaning then, and for us now.  For him, every lesson deepens and broadens his faith in Christ Jesus, and that is his goal for every person when he teaches each Sunday.
